LET'S EMPOWER YOU OR YOUR FAMILY TOGETHER
Treating emotional or health problems in the family unit can have a positive impact that leads to an improved quality of life for the entire family.
We specialize in CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) is a form of psychological treatment that has been demonstrated to be effective for a range of problems including depression, anxiety disorders, alcohol and drug use problems, marital problems, eating disorders, and severe mental illness. Numerous research studies suggest that CBT leads to significant improvement in functioning and quality of life and has demonstrated to be as effective as, or more effective than, other forms of psychological therapy or psychiatric medications.
CBT treatment also usually involves efforts to change behavioral patterns. These strategies might include:
Facing one’s fears instead of avoiding them. Using role playing to prepare for potentially problematic interactions with others.
Learning to calm one’s mind and relax one’s body. Treating emotional or health problems in the family unit can have a positive impact that leads to an improved quality of life for the entire family.

EMDR is an individual therapy. Unlike other treatments that focus on directly altering the emotions, thoughts and responses resulting from traumatic experiences, EMDR therapy focuses directly on the memory, and is intended to change the way that the memory is stored in the brain, thus reducing and eliminating the problematic symptoms.
During EMDR therapy, accelerated relearning process is stimulated by EMDR’s standardized procedures, which incorporate the use of eye movements and other forms of rhythmic left-right (bilateral) stimulation (e.g., tones or taps). While clients briefly focus on the trauma memory and simultaneously experience bilateral stimulation the vividness and emotion of the trauma is reduced. EMDR is evidence based for trauma, anxiety, depression, PTSD, grief, phobias, pain, and addictions.
