INSURANCE NOT ACCEPTED AND WHY
We accept the following payments for services. Credit, Cash (discount), Check, HSA or FSA accounts.
In regards to insurance. We know it can be frustrating to realize that your therapist doesn’t accept your insurance but there are a some valid reasons behind this decision. First it’s important to understand that insurance companies have their own rules and regulations when it comes to mental health coverage. They will require us to diagnose you with a mental illness diagnosis that will follow you for the rest of your life to meet requirements for coverage and we won't do that.
Insurance companies are less interested in what treatment, and what is helpful to you and more interested in what is most helpful for their wallet. So we avoid the bureaucracy entirely to provide you with the best most cost effective therapy available.
Here are 3 more reasons why:
They may limit or dictate the number of sessions you can have.
They may arbitrarily decide not to cover your treatment (s) and sticking you with the bill.
There is a BIG issue with confidentiality as they may require us to show our session notes comprimising your privacy and confidentiality.
*We can supply you with the necessary paperwork to bill your insurance company for reimbursement after services if requested.
